From the Desk of the Director - MCE, Shergarh Cheema

 

     It is true that education determines the destiny of the country. The way of thinking of that land is in the hands of teachers. Teachers have the power to produce Doctors, Engineers, Leaders, Prime Ministers and Presidents. When we do any work, we get its result very soon but the result of work of a teacher can be felt at least after 6 years when his pupils get shape of society. It is said that one mistake of a doctor can lead to one death but one mistake of a teacher leads to inhalation of nation. So our country needs ideal teachers which can build a civilized, cultured society of high national character.

     To fulfill these objectives, Secular Educational Society, Dhuri has been running a Modern College of Education (for girls), Shergarh Cheema in District Sangrur (Punjab) since 2008-09 sessions with the aims to prepare 'nation builders 'through right education who will not produce any white collar aspirant, but individuals, who dare to explore new fields for their own benefits as well as society. College is providing all the opportunities to the students to bring out the best in them and to develop in them inquisitiveness, enthusiasm and confidence. It will inculcate deep moral values, strong healthy habits and scientific attitude in them to develop them into successful teachers of awakened souls which will help in eradicating the social evils. When such right education will spread like nuclear chain, then it will establish peace in world.
